Green tea, white tea, black tea, spicy, smoky, fruity… We love to talk to you about tea! Today we are telling you a little more about floral tea, its history, how to prepare it and how to taste it.
What is floral tea?
Let's dive back into history for a few moments to better understand the birth of “flower teas”. To add flavor to tea, it was in China that the idea of incorporating flowers into tea leaves was born. At the time the dried jasmine flowers were the most used, today there is a very large selection of floral teas.
In order for floral teas to be rich in flavor, they must contain whole and quality dried flowers, the flowers must be handled as little as possible to retain all of their aromas. We advise you to favor loose teas for maximum flavor.
What flowers in my tea?
Jasmine was the very first to appear among the flowers added to tea leaves, today there are a large number of them for all tastes.
The rose: the rose is excellent for the skin, mood swings, painful periods
Chamomile: good for anxiety, sleep disorders
Lavender: fights anxiety, nervousness, insomnia. It can also help with colds
Hibiscus: helps strengthen the immune and digestive system
Forget-me-not: helps improve memory and concentration problems
Linden: has relaxing, digestive, calming and sedative properties
