Like all of us here, celebrities too enjoy their cup of tea, to relax, during a break or just because they simply love it. Here are some celebrities who love their cup of tea as much as we do.

The James Bonds’ actors

James Bond may love his martini – shaken, not stirred – but is said to also have a preference for Yin Hao, a Jasmine tea. But let’s not forget all three actors Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig who also follow the British way of afternoon tea.

A talk show host

Oprah Winfrey’s favorite is Indian chai for its soothing effect and its richness in taste and flavor. She even partnered in the development of a special blend of chai!

A sitcom actress

Tia Mowry, half of 90s sitcom Sister Sister twin duo, not only enjoys drinking her tea but has attributed her glowing skin to daily melting a green tea ice cube on her face every morning.

An author with an elaborate imagination

A Beatle

John Lennon appreciated tea so much, that according to his wife Yoko Ono he always insisted on placing the teabag first followed by hot water and would immediately notice if she didn’t follow that order – that is until he learned that he was doing it the wrong way all those years.

Even rock stars

Quoting Rolling Stones star Mick Jagger: “I got nasty habits, I take tea at three.” Ozzy Osbourne as well describes tea as being a magical potion and he never goes on stage before having a cup.

An extravagant entertainer

Lady Gaga is probably one of the biggest fans of tea and never fails to show it. She loves her hot drink so much that she always drinks from her own china teacup wherever she goes. Lady Gaga also has a song called Tea, from which she tweeted the following lyrics “It’s been oolong since I’ve had a sip and I get this feeling, I need a green detox”

A fictional character

If you watch the Mentalist, you definitely have noticed that there isn’t a single episode where psychic fraud-turned-police consultant Patrick Jane isn’t seen drinking or preparing a cup of tea. Even Simon Baker, the actor behind the character describes his joys in life to be his children laughing, dancing with his wife and enjoying a good cup of tea.

An actress who played a queen

Academy Award winner Helen Mirren never separates from her teabags. She takes them with her wherever she goes, all the way to Los Angeles.

A Queen

No surprise there, but Queen of England Elizabeth II starts her day every morning with a breakfast tea tray at 7:30. She also never fails to have her Afternoon tea with biscuits at 5pm. The preferred drink at Buckingham palace is Earl Grey.
