DIY: Unusual ideas to make with tea

DIY : Idées insolites à faire avec du thé

We drink tea hot or cold, we eat it in our sweet or savory recipes, but did you know that it can also be used in various other ways?
As big tea lovers, why not take full advantage of everything it has to offer?
Ready? Let's go, discover 3 original tips to try at home!

Dyeing your clothes with tea

Do you know the trick of dyeing light-colored clothes with tea? Black tea has strong dyeing powers; it's very easy to see this by looking at the bottom of light-colored cups, which become slightly tinted over time.
Dyeing your clothes couldn't be simpler. Depending on the size of the garment, I recommend using at least 1 liter of water. Boil the water, then add 3 to 5 tea bags (black tea is preferable). Let it steep for 15 to 30 minutes.
Once thoroughly infused, add your garment and let it soak until the desired color is achieved.
You can rinse and dry! Tea dye is very durable and withstands many washes!
Eco-friendly, easy and quick, we love tea dyeing!

Natural self-tanning tea

The same principle applies as with clothes! Tea colors your skin, as you now know! If you want a tanned, sun-kissed complexion without resorting to UV rays, self-tanning showers, or other tanning creams, opt for tea!
Infuse 2-3 tea bags in hot water for 15-30 minutes (the darker the color of the tea, the more pronounced the result).
Allow the water to cool for several hours, or even days. Apply the brewed tea to the areas of your body you wish to tan using a cotton ball, let it dry completely, and apply a second coat if necessary.
The self-tanning effect of tea is of course not permanent and will disappear after the first or second shower! But why not enjoy a lovely (natural) tanned complexion for a day or evening?

Reduces puffiness and dark circles thanks to tea

Are bags and dark circles under your eyes your nightmare? Do creams take a long time to work when you'd like a quick, visible result? Apply tea bags directly to your dark circles.
Brew the tea in cold water and add a few ice cubes. After a few minutes, remove them from the refrigerator and apply them directly to your under-eye bags/dark circles. Leave them on for a few minutes, and you're done. Use white or light-colored tea if possible to avoid staining your skin.
