Today, we're offering you an irresistible recipe for Chai tea and spice biscuits , inspired by the warm flavors of our gift box “Spicy Escape” .

Recipe: Chai Tea and Spice Cookies

Ingredients (for about twenty cookies):

• 150 g of flour

• 50 g of brown sugar

• 1 sachet (or 2 tbsp) of ground chai tea

• ½ teaspoon of cinnamon

• ¼ teaspoon of powdered ginger

• 1 pinch of nutmeg

• 1 pinch of salt

• 100g of softened butter

• 1 egg yolk

• 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

• 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


Preparation

🔥 1. Prepare the aromatic base

 Grind the chai tea into a powder using a mortar or a mixer.

• In a bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, powdered tea, spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg) and a pinch of salt.


🍯 2. Add the wet ingredients

• Incorporate the softened butter, cut into small pieces, and mix with your fingertips until you obtain a sandy texture.

• Next, add the egg yolk, honey, and vanilla extract, then mix until form a homogeneous dough .

• If the dough is too dry, add 1 tablespoon of milk .


 3. Resting and shaping

• Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes .

• After resting, roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut out your biscuits using a cookie cutter.


🍪 4. Cooking

• Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) .

• Arrange the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 to 12 minutes , until they are lightly golden.

• Let it cool before enjoying!
