Rejuvenation, aging well, health? These are aspects of society today. Many people dream of "eternal" life, or at least, of living as long as possible with the youngest possible body. It's not necessary to go under the knife to rejuvenate. Traditional natural medicine is making a strong comeback, and teas can help you appreciate this approach: rather than harming your body with cosmetic surgery, prevent aging with tea!
They contain antioxidants: polyphenols (the main one being catechins and others of slightly lesser importance). They help to avoid cardiovascular diseases and prevent certain cancers and other diseases due to aging.
Green tea contains a lot of catechins (antioxidants). However, it's worth noting that if you prefer black tea lattes, your absorption of this molecule will be reduced. You'll still get some, but much less!
Black and green teas have less significant sources that will help prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer (which is a very good thing, considering that we are all in contact with someone who suffers from one or the other).
I have a tip to suggest to help retain the beneficial properties of your tea and prevent them from evaporating with the steam from boiling water: the longer the tea is steeped, the more antioxidants it will contain. It's also worth noting that green tea contains twice as many antioxidants as black tea.
Tea may also offer neuroprotection, meaning that as we age, drinking two cups (or more—there's never too much) of green tea can significantly slow cognitive decline (the person will find it easier to orient themselves and remember things). It's important to note that this refers to green tea, not black or oolong. We can always hope that drinking it might eventually lead to benefits in preventing Alzheimer's. However, this hypothesis has not yet been studied.
Finally, as if that weren't enough, older women who drink tea every day are said to have better bone density (if that can help women avoid osteoporosis, that would be perfect, it's talked about so much on television…)
Don't forget: there are a multitude of other benefits you can reap from tea: reduced tooth decay, immune system support, skin care, and more. In addition to slowing down aging and maintaining a youthful appearance, you can also lose weight gradually with green tea (so, a good reason to embrace this beverage and learn to love it!).
So, don't hesitate to get a tea subscription which will offer you the opportunity to test several effects of tea, you won't be disappointed!
