As you know by now, at T.Surprise we have a sweet tooth and above all love to offer you delicious little recipes. Today, discover our gingerbread with black tea! A tasty blend of spices, cinnamon, and black tea to tantalize your taste buds.
The ingredients
- 200 g of flour
- 100g of almond flour
- 50g of brown sugar
- 60g of butter
- 200g of apricot jam
- 130 ml of honey
- 130 ml of water
- 1 tsp of plain black tea or apple tea
- 2 tsp gingerbread spice
- 1 tsp of vanilla powder or liquid
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
Boil the water and steep the tea for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, in a mixing bowl, add the flour, almond flour, brown sugar, spices, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
In a saucepan, combine the honey, jam, butter, and your black tea-infused water. Heat gently over low heat, stirring occasionally. Once all the ingredients have melted, pour the mixture into a bowl and stir well until you have a smooth paste.
Choose a square or rectangular baking pan and pour in the mixture. Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
For a decorative touch, feel free to add dried fruit, nuts, chocolate…
