Yes, it is indeed tea-based .
To inaugurate our gourmet kitchen, we've come up with a simple, comforting, and absolutely decadent recipe:
a classic chocolate brownie , topped with a salted caramel sauce infused with black tea .
The result?
A rich, melt-in-your-mouth dessert with a depth of flavor subtly enhanced by the tea.
The perfect recipe for entertaining… or for treating yourself for no reason (the best reasons).
classic chocolate brownie
Ingredients

2 cups of sugar

1 cup of butter
-
½ cup of cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 eggs
-
1 1/2 cups of flour

½ tsp baking powder
-
½ tsp salt
Preparation

Melt the butter.

Mix all the ingredients together until you obtain a smooth texture.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes , depending on the desired texture (soft or firmer).
Salted caramel sauce infused with black tea
Ingredients

¼ cup of butter
-
½ cup of packed brown sugar

½ to 1 tsp of black tea leaves

½ tsp vanilla extract
-
½ tsp coarse salt
-
½ cup of 35% cream
Preparation

In a small saucepan, combine the cream and black tea.
Simmer gently, remove from heat, cover and let steep for 10 to 25 minutes , depending on the desired strength.

In another saucepan, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar.
Bring gently to a boil, whisking occasionally.
Simmer over low heat for 3 minutes .

Add the vanilla and salt, mix well until completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let stand for 1 minute .

Strain the infused cream, then whisk it into the caramel until you obtain a smooth and glossy sauce.
Serve warm on the brownie… or cold, by the spoonful. We won't judge.
