Inhalation and massage using essential oils

Essential oils are particularly effective in helping to relieve nasal and bronchial congestion.
Whether used in massage or inhalation, they can help you feel better.

Essential oils to prioritize

Eucalyptus radiata:

A winter cold specialist! Its antibacterial, anti-infective, and antiseptic properties promote respiratory comfort. It will also help you combat the intense fatigue caused by cold or flu symptoms.

Use : Place 1 drop of eucalyptus radiata essential oil on a sugar cube or a spoonful of honey. Consume 4 times a day for 2 days.

Ravintsara:

The ultimate antiviral oil! It fights runny noses while boosting the immune system. Ravintsara essential oil helps clear secretions from the respiratory tract, helping you breathe easier!

Use : Add 3 drops of ravintsara essential oil to 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil such as sweet almond or jojoba oil. Massage into the lower back and chest 3 times a day.

Peppermint:

The decongestant! Peppermint essential oil will help you breathe better and fight nasal congestion. It clears the nose and thins mucus.
Use: For inhalation use only! Place two drops of peppermint essential oil on a tissue. Inhale as needed, for a maximum of 10 minutes.

A diet rich in vitamins and minerals

To help your immune system fight viruses, focus on a balanced diet rich in vitamins.
Eat a course of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, such as citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and kiwis.
Garlic and ginger are superfoods to consume during cold and flu season. They boost the immune system, suppress coughs, and have antiviral properties. Enjoy them in herbal teas or use them to enhance your favorite dishes.
Drink, drink, and drink some more! It's important to drink plenty of water when you have a cold or the flu, at least 1.5 liters a day. You can even add lemon juice for extra vitamins.

Rest!

Rest, rest, and more rest… It's very important to give your body a break when you have a cold. Take some time for yourself, have a nice hot bath, read a good book. The more rested you are, the better you'll recover!
